Spotify isn’t the only one who can round up the year in a tidy summary.
But instead of sharing my musical tastes with you, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past 12 months of itinerary design here at VS1 Travels 🥂
2025 has been a whirlwind of wins and lessons, and I’m endlessly grateful for the clients who entrusted me with their hard-earned money, time, and trust. Do I still daydream about some of these itineraries? You bet! But honestly, who could blame me?
Along with planning trips to Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia/New Zealand, and the Caribbean, I also had the opportunity to check South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Spain, France, and Italy off my own list this year, adding to my knowledge base, strengthening partnerships, and in some cases… actually relaxing.
(A true vacation?! A rarity for a travel advisor.)
2025 was full of incredible moments, standout destinations, and clients who reminded me exactly why I love what I do. Before we step into a brand-new year of adventures, I wanted to share a peek at a few of my favorite itineraries from the year with you… purely for “research purposes,” of course 😉
South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana
Great for families, honeymoon, adventurers, animal lovers
Hosted our first African safari group for amazing clients and was honestly one of my fav trips to date. Highlight for me was seeing all of the animals in their natural habitat.
Danube River Cruise – Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Germany
Multi-gen families; honeymooners, girls getaway; empty-nesters; easy travelers
Attended the ASTA River Cruise Expo and experienced a bunch of great cruise lines so I know which one to recommend to my clients! Ended the Europe trip with a river cruise with my family on Viking and it was fantastic!
Virgin Voyages Cruise – Spain, Italy, France
Adults only; bachelor(ette) groups; honeymooners; family reunion; cousins trip; girls trip; birthday celebrations; fun seekers
Hosted our 2nd Virgin Voyages cruise in Europe to celebrate my hubby and his twin’s birthday with the siblings and besties! Roundtrip Barcelona with stops in Rome, Cannes, Monaco, Cinque Terre, and overnight in Ibiza!
Tucson, Arizona – Wellness
Besties / girls getaway; couples retreat; solo travelers; corporate retreat; anyone needing “me” time
Our first VS1 team trip (and where Anya and Lauren met in person for the first time!) Canyon Ranch is the ultimate wellness getaway and I cannot wait to go back. The classes, experiences, and facilities were top-notch and the spa was everything I needed.
Rhine River Cruise – Netherlands, Germany
Multi-gen families; honeymooners, girls getaway; empty-nesters; easy travelers
Experienced the Rhine River on Riverside Cruises with my sister in law! We started in Amsterdam and ended in Dusseldorf. Service and facilities onboard were outstanding – our cabin was gorgeous. Can’t wait to sail on another Riverside cruise!
